G.K. Sprinkle Consulting provides advocacy and communication strategies that influence people's actions. We help individuals, public interest groups, companies, and nonprofits develop effective advocacy and communication strategies. These strategies work in influencing governmental bodies such as Legislatures or state agencies, affecting the internal actions of companies, or even successfully advancing careers.
G.K. Sprinkle, MA, APR is a lobbyist, policy strategist, and speaker. Since 1982, G.K. has lobbied the Texas Legislature in the areas of education, mental health, environment, taxes, appropriations, healthcare provider licensure, insurance, housing, general business issues, and sexual/domestic violence. G.K. has increased funding for social services when legislators said money was not available. Once she got $9 million for a company after the budget was passed and signed into law. In a session when Legislators took a stand against property tax deductions, G.K. passed an exemption for low-income housing developers worth $500,000 for one developer. She also succeeded in passing bills declared DOA by powerful interest groups when they were filed. In 1988, G.K. used her prior experience as a teacher and grassroots organizer to add speaking and training to her company activities. Her talks on the legislative process have galvanized association members. She's trained key people to organize in their area, leading to long-term targeted volunteer efforts. The letter-writing campaigns she organized produced hundreds of letters in support of her clients' issues.
G.K. uses this experience to provide training on how to be more persuasive within your company and to advance your career.

Prior to forming G.K. Sprinkle Consulting, G.K. worked as a public relations writer producing brochures, newsletters, articles, press releases, and fact sheets. She is an internationally published author.
G.K. is Accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America. She holds a Masters degree in Vertebrate Paleontology from Harvard University which she says uniquely qualifies her to lobby. "I know how to do research and work with old fossils."
